This pen is incredible and the grip is crazy. This Zirconium pen feels like it has a rubber Texture to it for a better grip but it doesn’t. It’s just how this zirconium pen feels. this pen is everything I expected, and the weight is perfect. I have the click TI DLC black pen which I’ll probably will never use again. This is the pin of all pens, and I have a huge collection of expensive pens. with that being said nothing comes close to this pen. here they are side by side
I'm writing this after about a week of having the pen, so I haven't put it through all its paces yet, but I'm incredibly impressed.
-Sleek: This thing looks *clean*. This is the first out of 5 pens I've purchased from BigIDesign that both blows me away with the design/engineering and now the look.
-Thinner grip: this was one of my (minor) gripes with the Pocket Pro and the Click EDC models. I loved the grips back on the Solid Titanium Pen and Ti Post Raw as they were extremely thin and gave me very precise control over my writing movements.
-Cool engineering: Having the twist mechanism to adjust for refills hidden in the clicking end of the pen is a great improvement to the Click EDC. It's very easy to make minute adjustments in length, and it's also easier to avoid making accidental adjustments.
-Great click mechanism: This may be subjective, but it feels like the there are fewer misfires when clicking the mechanism. It should be noted that having the pen improperly adjusted for the refill can cause misfires but it doesn't seem related to any design flaw,
-Very strong spring system. This is more subjective than the other points, but this pen has a stronger spring resistance than any other pen I've handled. This could contribute somehow to the better firing rate of the clock mechanism, but I haven't opened up the mechanism to check that out. Having the stronger spring resistance also gives a more tactile feel when you engage the pen. Whenever you release pressure on the clicker, there's a tactile tapping feeling as the spring pushes the clicker backwards. One difference between the spring in this model versus previous models (at least in the item I received) is that the spring is somehow stuck inside the detachable end of the pen where the writing. If this remains the case, then I don't have to worry about keeping track of the spring whenever I replace an ink cartridge.
-I haven't found any.
This a genuinely great pen and I think that at the time of writing this review, it's the best pen offering by BigIDesign.
Very comfortable. Slim is the way to to. Writes greats and it really is a beautiful pen. Only caveat, a very soft click. Was hoping it would be much more snappy. That’s part of the allure of click pens.
The engineering and craftsmanship is superb. Being able to utilize a variety of replacement inks; genius!!
Very well done!!
Great pen to carry around. Solid materials, well-executed mechanism, and pleasing to the eye. Will carry this for a long time.
