I purchased the limited edition Timascus for the scarcity and unique look and it delivered on this! I love the pen. I did some customization changes making it possibly even more unique. I replaced the Timascus clip and bold screw to raw titanium. This provided great contrast to the body. I like that the clip has the Ti. Also the all timascus look was frankly too busy.

There are three cons with the pen with it's shipped configuration (but can be managed):

1. i don't recommend using the provided Schmidt 950 ink cartridge. A. it leaks B. it doesn't write smooth.
2. there's too much spring tension that makes the bolt action too stiff and less smooth. I fixed this in two ways: I used a Mont Blanc BP cartridge (spring rides higher) and replaced the spring from the Slim Bolt Action Pen. This spring has less tension.
3. Something unique with the limited edition timascus: the edges on the provided clip and tip head were not smoothed/rounded. this made for "sharp" edges that made handling/operating the pen uncomfortable. The clip is the biggest issue ...as the bolt runs parallel with the clip and it's operation forces you to rub along the clip's sharp edges. The pen tip was just ever so slight of an annoyance. I resolved the clip issue by replacing with raw titanium OEM....it's edges are smooth/rounded as they should be.
