I had issues with the clicker and the customer service sent me parts and eventually the whole pen. I hope that the clicker will last, as I’ve had issues with lubricating the mechanism before, but currently the clicker works very smoothly! However, if issues do arise I know the customer service is great with this company.
I love metal pens, and this is my first proper copper pen! Depending on your skin oils, the colour of the patina can range widely. As usual, it’s important to remember that copper and brass tend to scratch easily, and are more heavy. I love that the copper pen isn’t mirror polished, because scratches are less obvious.
The metal clicker button does get obvious scratches very quickly, and the lubricant can sometimes be pushed onto the clicker. This is just a sacrifice you have to make when it comes to metal mechanisms. This also happens on their slim bolt action pen as well. So, if you work in a sanitary environment, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend these pens as you may some lubricant on your fingertips occasionally. It’s possible to avoid it, but sometimes my fingers will slip onto the sides of the clicker which will usually have a bit of lubricant on it. I’ve been wiping off the excess lubricant on the clicker and it’s definitely not as bad as it was before.
Overall, I really enjoy the pen and am very appreciative of their support internationally in Canada with free shipping and customer service!
